About Us

DOVIA provides networking, education, and support for the unique career field of volunteer management.

Our vision is to provide our community with an abundance of motivated, well-equipped, knowledgeable, and passionate volunteers as well as the resources to utilize those volunteers in fulfilling roles.

We plan to do this by:

  • Promoting volunteerism in Chattanooga and surrounding area
  • Increasing knowledge of the career of volunteer managment
  • Identifying and meeting community needs
  • Maintaining active and involve DOVIA members
  • Creating a comprehensive network between organizations and volunteers
  • Developing strong partnerships
  • Providing effective trainings and professional development

Meeting locations vary but are held the first Thursday of every month from 12:00-1:00.  If you are interested in attending a meeting to learn more about DOVIA, please contact Anna Baker, Membership Secretary, at (423) 752-0316 or annabaker@uwchatt.org.
